This Christmas, when we are sitting down to our annual feast with family and friends there will be much less fortunate people in the Illawarra who will have nowhere to go.
A local charity, The Denny Foundation, are currently running a Christmas Food and Toy Appeal to enable them to put on a Christmas party for families and individuals that have nowhere to go on Christmas Day. The Denny Foundation provide support and advocate for individuals and families affected by mental illness, depression, drug and alcohol addiction, loss by suicide and poverty.
We would be most grateful if you can help. Essential Bookkeeping Solutions are seeking donations of toys and non-perishable foods which we can collect from your premises.
Christmas is a time that help is needed more than ever, and they expect to have well over 100 children, families and individuals on Christmas Day join them to celebrate and enjoy some nice food. When the children receive a present from Santa it makes their day, maybe their year and puts a smile on all of their faces. It is a particularly important time for those directly and indirectly affected by mental illness and to have a day where they can share in the festivities with others makes a massive difference to their health and wellbeing.
Any donation, large or small, is greatly appreciated and will bring joy to someone less fortunate. So before your next visit to the shops add a toy or non-perishable food to your shopping list and make a difference this Christmas!
Please contact Henny on 0413 842 403 or firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange for collection up to Thursday 20th December 2012. THANK YOU!
